Prasad Jogalekar started his musical journey at the early age of 4, under the tutelage of his mother and father. He started sitar lessons at 10 from Mr and Mrs Phadke, Pune, and later became a disciple of legendary Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan. He has also learnt nuances of other sitar styles from sitar maestos Ustad Shahid Parvez and Pandit Partho Chatterjee. He has played on radio, given concerts in India,Canada and the US and has also played with the San Jose Chamber Orchestra.
